The Secure Choice™ roof system
Malarkey's Certified Pro warranty is written for a complete roof system, not shingles alone. A qualifying system has Malarkey shingles plus at least three Malarkey accessory products, installed by a Certified Pro contractor following Malarkey's current instructions and local building code.
- Ice and water barrier — Malarkey Arctic Seal® or Secure Start® HT protect vulnerable edges and valleys.
- Underlayment — Malarkey Secure Start® or Right Start® underlayments, including synthetic options.
- Field shingles — Highlander®, Vista®, Legacy® or Windsor® shingles.
- Starter shingles — Malarkey Smart Start® starter shingles help guard against moisture and blow-off.
- Hip and ridge shingles — Malarkey EZ-Ridge® or RidgeFlex® caps finish the ridges and hips.

How the Certified Pro extended warranty works
A manufacturer warranty addresses manufacturing defects. It is not storm insurance, and it does not replace a homeowner's policy. Malarkey decides coverage under its written warranty, so read the full document before you sign.
- Offered only through Malarkey Certified Pro contractors.
- The installing contractor must register the warranty with Malarkey. Registration is part of the job, not an afterthought.
- For a single-family home that is the owner's primary residence, Malarkey describes the coverage as a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects that hurt the roof system's performance.
- During the non-prorated period, Malarkey states it will pay reasonable repair or replacement cost of the affected Malarkey products and their installation, including tear-off and disposal when needed to repair the roof. Non-Malarkey accessories, metalwork and flashing are excluded.
- After the non-prorated period, repair or replacement value is prorated, and affected components keep 20% of their original value, according to Malarkey.
- One transfer to a second owner is allowed. Malarkey sets a window for applying after the sale, so ask us about timing before you list the house.
- Malarkey lists contractor workmanship coverage as not applicable under this warranty. It covers Malarkey materials, so ask us what is in your written proposal for workmanship.
How we get you the extended warranty
- Free inspection — We look at your roof and talk through the Malarkey line and color that fit your home.
- Specify the system — We build the plan around Malarkey shingles and at least three Malarkey accessories.
- Install to Malarkey's instructions — Our crew follows Malarkey's current installation requirements and local code, including the nailing the wind coverage requires.
- Register with Malarkey — We register the Certified Pro warranty in Malarkey's contractor portal.
- Keep your paperwork — Save your warranty documents so you can transfer them if you sell.

Frequently asked questions
Is Crows Roofing certified by Malarkey?
Malarkey's public contractor directory lists Crows Roofing LLC as an Emerald Pro Contractor, certified since 2026, with the Certified Contractor and Certified Pro designations. You can open the listing from this page and verify it with Malarkey.
What is the difference between Malarkey's standard warranty and the Certified Pro warranty?
The standard warranty comes with Malarkey shingles through any installer. The Certified Pro warranty is available only when a Certified Pro contractor installs a qualifying Secure Choice system and registers it. For Highlander and Vista it lengthens the non-prorated period to 20 years. Malarkey also includes its 130 mph enhanced wind coverage automatically (140 mph for Windsor). See the comparison above for each line.
Does every Malarkey roof get the extended warranty?
No. The roof needs Malarkey shingles plus at least three Malarkey accessories as a complete system, installed to Malarkey's instructions by a Certified Pro contractor, and the contractor has to register it.
What does the Certified Pro warranty cover?
Malarkey describes it as coverage against manufacturing defects that hurt the performance of the roof system, including covered Malarkey accessories. It is not coverage for storm damage, and Malarkey's written warranty lists the conditions and exclusions.
Does the warranty cover workmanship?
Malarkey lists contractor workmanship as not applicable under the Certified Pro warranty. Ask us what workmanship terms are included in your written proposal.
Can the warranty transfer if I sell my home?
Malarkey allows one transfer to a second owner, and the new owner must apply within Malarkey's deadline after the sale. Check the warranty document and contact us before you list the home.
Which Malarkey shingle is right for my home?
Highlander is the most economical line, Vista is the most popular, Legacy is the highest performing, and Windsor is the designer line with the most dimension. We compare them with you during your inspection and explain what each one changes for your roof.
Are the colors on this page exact?
No. Screens and lighting change how a color looks, and availability varies by product line and region. Malarkey’s own lookup shows 11 of its 17 colors for Nebraska, and we help you confirm a physical sample before you decide.
